Hi. I just emailed GW UK mailorder asking about the availability of epic scale miniatures. The reply said that all metal Epic stuff will be unavailable until EpicA will be realeased. Is this really so or was that MOTroll just wrong (I asked a few more questions, and he got some of them wrong, too). I mean that even if epic stuff isn't listed in the online store, shouldn't you still be able to buy it through UK mail order and the archive service? Aren't they supposed to deliver about any metal casting GW has produced in recent history? Does anyone know the address to contact this service? This is quite a bad situation, I just decided to complete my ork & squat forces. I have some 10K+ points of 2nd ed orks, but they really could use some more support units Swiftwind

I am afraid that I think that the MO guy was right about this one. It is a shame, but all Epic units were taken off-line - as far as I know. However, Jervis has stated that Epic metals will be back with us very soon, possibly in the next week or so. My advice would be to call back in a week. You should at least talk to a different MO guy, and even if the Epic metals were off the shelves, they may be back by then.
MO guys have been known to be wrong many times. I had so much hassle getting the Gothic Annual. I called about three times. The first few they said that it was out of stock. The last time I was told that it was out of print and that was it, I could no longer get it! Unfortunately, I think that this is now true, and it is unavailable.
Incidently, a Squat army? Cool. I have been looking for some of the old plastic sprues for those guys and cant find them anywhere. Any advice?

I would deffinalty second that advice of phoneing again and speaking to another Troll. I have had some horrible experiences with some of the MO people when it comes to ordering anything not in the current range. I personally think it would be a bad idea to stop the production of the Epic Metals as there is still a demand for them. If its true that the BFG annual has been withdrawn from sales then that is crazy. The book has only been out a few months and it was hard enough tracking down a copy in the shops!

Agreed. The availablility of the OLD Epic Whirlwinds (the best design, imho) changes depending on astological factors. If the Sun is in Uranus then you are luck! Every time I call, I get a different response. As far as I know, the Gothic Annual is now unavailable. This is, indeed, crazy. Especially since future Annuals will build on it, not necessarily reprint it! ARGH!

I just checked the GW-US MO store, and guess what.. they have most of the E40K range available. And not only the metals, they are offering SM E40K infantry plastics for $3.50 a sprue!! And the plastic imperator titan, too. This is So unfair About calling UK-MO, thus far I've tried contacting them via email. As you can surely tell from my english, I don't live in the UK. Concerning Squats, they are the faction that got me into GW gaming back when everything was cheap and the games more fun I'm currently hunting for another Goliath and Overlord to complete my force. Squats are a fun force to play with in SM/TL. They just can't stand warp missiles though. Swiftwind
