Hello, welcome to EpiComms and well done for getting here. This is the forum board for www.epic40k.co.uk. Please, feel free to look around and leave a message or two, I would love to hear what people think of the site, or the games themselves. If you want forums for other wargames then leave posts in the General Wargames boards. If there are enough posts and requests for a specific game then I will add a board for it. Simple. So, what do you think?

just looking, and i'd just like to say that white on grey is REALLY hard to read. I had to select the text just to read it. Thats the first thing i would change.

Hi, and thanks for looking. Is this any better? Let me know what you think. A lot of the time it depends on the resolution of your monitor so I need feedback as to how it looks to other people out there.

I have to say that I think moving to a hosted forum is one of the best move's you've made on the site. its incredible how much more inclined people are to send in feedback to a Forum like this (In my experience at least!).
As ever, keep up the good work on Epic40k.co.uk - I'd love to see it become th ekind of sucess the Epic40k.com has become in this last 10 months.
Cheers, Paul "TuffSkull" T.

Hi. And thanks for dropping by. I must admit that, although I was unsure about a Forum in the past (partly because many sites already have them, including yours), I do like the addition. The success of www.epic40k.com has inspired me, and I hope that your site comtinues to grow. I am hesitant about any cross-over between our sites and I would like to see them grow side by side. I am very aware that I dont want to 'invade your territory'. Thanks again.

Hi CyberShadow. I've just arrived from portent to check out the site, as I'm big on epic and especially BFG, but dont really have anyone to share the interest local. I've only had a quick glimpse around the site, but it seems okay. I see you have a lack of input at the moment on pictures etc and wondered if you excepted them. If so how? I only access to my works computer but I've got a scanner. Unfortunantly I'm no good with computers, so I dont knoew how to do a lot of stuff. . Well I'm gonna have a better look around now. It looks good so far so keep up the good work, I bet it takes a lot of it. Oh PS. whats the donation thing mean?

Hi, glad that you could make it over. ;D Especially great that you could register, I would like to get a fair number of people registered here as it makes the place look more populated. I think (or I like to believe) that I get a fair number of visitors here, but if they dont register then it doesnt look like it.
I will be adding the Players Database as soon as I can, so check back in a few days, although I think that this will take a while to get momentum going and so results wont be obvious for a while. Hopefully, if I can get a list of people from both the UK and North America it will encourage people to check here more.
As for your questions: It would be great to get input from as many as people. Pictures are best either with a digital camera, or scanned it. Once you have the file, then just email it to me and I will format and upload it. Other articles are also welcomeed, preferably in Word or HTML format, but I will do what I can with whatever you have. The donations point is a good question. Basically, the forum is run with ads. Anyone can donate money using the link, and for every $1 the forum is provided ad free for 1000 views. I have not sorted this out yet as I was setting it up and checking it regularly, but I can do if the ads really bother people. This feature was useful for me as I know that some people hate ads (myslef included) and even the ads here are not too much of an annoyance (I find the ezboard ads too much, for example).
Anyway, thanks for looking around, stay in touch and I will try to add as much as I can as soon as I can. So, feel free to help me out and send stuff in. 8)

Hey, just dropped in by accident and thought i'd check around. The site and everything looks good if lacking in members... The forum's easy to read however, there's no problem there.
As for pictures...what stuff are you after in particular? I don't play Epic, and I don't plan to, but I have agreat deal of interest in the 40K galaxy.
Is having a warhammer 40,000 forum out of the question? I'm fairly up to date with rumours/releases and could post quite a bit if the need was around.

Hi, and thanx for registering - we need more people to do that! Glad that you stumbled on this place, and I hope that you will stick around. The thing with Forum members is a bit of a trouble to me, and has been for a while, but there is not much that I can do about it. So, if you can persuade anyone else to join up that would be great. I really want to have some regular posters here and some interesting discussions going.
As for pictures, I will put up whatever you send (as long as it is good stuff). I recently bought some Void stuff, so if that goes well I will add it. Just send in pictures and I will put them up somewhere and create new places if I have to.
The same goes for these Forums. You want a 40K Forum? No problem, just let me know where - background, modelling, etc. I would love to get things moving here, and if that is all I need to do to get some regular posts then that is great.
Thanx again, just let me know.

Hi. I am glad that you like the place. If you have any suggestions, or even better, submissions, then please let me know. I am open to any ideas and if you can think of something that would make the place better, and therefore more popular then I would love to hear it.
My biggest concern right now is that, while the quality of stuff here is excellent, there is still a lot that could be added. While the recent competition has created a nice queue of stuff to add (keep checking as there is some very cool stuff on the way), I only have so much time. I would love to have a site that had lots of articles and resources, so that people could spend about an hour here looking around.
Anyway, welcome, it is always good to see new people here. And pictures would be great. ;D
