I have a potential IG Armoured Company list that I would like some of the veterans to look over.
EPIC ARMAGEDDON IMPERIAL GUARD ARMOURED COMPANY ARMY LIST
Super Heavy Tank Company – 3 Shadowswords (600 points) Super Heavy Tank Company – 3 Baneblades (600 points)
Tank Company – 9 Leman Russ, 1 Vanquisher (750 points) Tank Company – 9 Leman Russ, 1 Vanquisher (750 points) Tank Company – 9 Leman Russ, 1 Vanquisher (750 points)
Artillery Company – 9 Basilisks, 1 Salamander (750 points)
Deathstrike Missile Battery – 2 Deathstrike Missile Launchers (200 points)
8 Thunderbolts (600 points)
TOTAL: 5000 POINTS
I originally wanted 2 artillery companies, but it didn't look right with 20 battle tanks, and 20 artillery peices. I also looked at buying some Leman Russ Demolisher squadrons, but didn't with to commit 900 points to 3 squadrons, and any less would seem to be miniscule in the grand scheme of things. Should I drop something and take demolishers. The Thunderbolts are there to protect against the enemy "flying things". I am not sure if this is too little, or I am overdoing it. Hydras didnt seem like the best of choices, so I did not take any. I like the idea of the Deathstrike missile, and am thinking of buying some more at the expense of a Tank Company. (and using the remaining points for Tank Squadrons) Would this be a good idea?

The biggest problem that any Tank Cmpany has on the field, is little guys with sharp sticks and cutters waiting in ruins. Close combat infantry troops, if they can get close, are a real problem, and very difficult to shift or avoid. Demolishers are one of the best ways to get around then, have good anti infantry guns.
In particular, your Basilisk company will find itself cold and alone if you are not careful, and they should really be given a vanguard. What you use for this is up to you, but I would certainly take something to cut down lots of light infantry quickly - so that if you do get charged you can take out as many of the enemy stands as possible before they reach your lines.

Should I drop a Tank Company for 2 Demolisher squadrons, and 2 Thunderbolts?

I would drop a tank company for at least some Demolishers. I think that you have enough Thunderbolts, but there must be something that you can add to the list, for example Hellhounds.

hmm,
looks more like a heavily augmented battalion than a company. I tend to agree with CyberShadow, as it stands it'll be very vulnerable to close combat infantry.
You could kinda look to the Soviets a little, Their organisation had 1 Motor Rifle battalion & 3 tank battalions per regiment, you could have 3 Tank Coy's and 1 Armoured fist Coy maybe? (or would this add too much to the expense).
Just my 2c, I think adding the infantry would give you a little more flexbility than a pure tank Batallion
Good luck!

Good idea about an AF company.
My problem with infantry is inherent trait to multiply in any army list. Once I get that AF Company, I'll see the 12 stands as insigniticant, and buy another, and another, and pretty soon, I'll have an armoured fist army, which is not the intent.

OK, so where do you stand on things like Sentinels, and other light vehicles? I know what you mean, if you want a tank company then you dont want it to get side tracked with infantry (and I know people that hate painting the little guys and so only use tanks). Personally, I would live with the fact that you will get carved up in cc, but I would load up with short ranged, anti infantry weapons to cut then down as then stormed you. This kind of battle tends to be one of terrain though.
