Just to let everyone know... Tuff is back and has got around to writing up his report of Games Day, including pictures of some of the very, very new (released in about a year) minis of Chaos Dreads and bikes. It is here: www.epic40k.com/gd2002/gd2002report.htmlAnd well worth a look.

A nice report, and some good pics. I wish I could've made it to GD! Never mind. I would have liked to see those games first hand. How many 'Spare' Titans! The rumour of boxed sets of good and bad sounds interesting. I think that could work well. If it ended up being Eldar and Chaos, it would work well for me too. I could get my chaos BFG opponent to go halves then.

Hi Guys,
From reading that I get the feeling that you have the wrong idea and/or I gave the wrong impression in the article.
The armies will not be released in boxes with two armies, the two armies will simply be released at the same time.
I don't want to start confusioon, though I seem to be horribly good at it by default!

Thanks for clearing it. Oh well. It would have been nice to have Eldar in a boxed set for once. Never mind.

HI Tuff (welcome over). Does that mean that there will be no boxed sets, or that there will be a boxed set containing only a single army? Just to create more confusion! ;D Thanks.

I'll try and be as clear as I can (There's something new!):
From what I know, it sounds like the E:A marketing is being based on Warmaster.
The initial release will be accompanied by the release of the Orks, SMs and Imperial Guard (the forces of Armageddon). What format this release will take is not 100% defined as yet, though it is unlikely that there will be a "Boxed game". More likely that there will be a rulebok and a "Starter deal" if you want to buy an army with it.
Future releases will not be of individual armies as they are in WH/40K but of 2 forces at once (one good one evil). Each release will contain / be followed by a range of boxes/blisters for that army. Again, it is likely that there wwill be army deals for each race, but not actual army box sets as such.
At this point in time, nothing is certain other than the IG,ORks and SMs will be released with the rules. Two armies at once, packaging etc. is all still speculation, even though it is coming straight from the Horses (Jervis' - no offence mate!) mouth.
