Over the weekend, I have been having an email exchange with Sihook. He sent me some fantastic pictures of some Epic minis. I am going to add them to the Showcase section, but I could not wait to show you this one: Sihook - If you want me to display the other pictures here then I will. Otherwise, they will be in the next update. Thanks.

Thanks for putting the pictures up for me. Your free to put them up anywhere on the site. I'm new to this site, I saw it on the epic A playtesters vault, Iv'e been playing epic since it was first released as just a titan game. Most people I game with think I'm mad, but I tend to convert every infantry stand in my Space Wolf army, even if it's just a weapon change or wolf skin. I have a growing Space Wolf army and also a chaos army, which I'm building a Kharn the betrayer model for. I'll send photos in as I complete interesting units.

Very nice work there Sihook. One question: Is he head as I expect, pure GS? If not, what did you use as the base for it?
I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thanks for the compliment. I based the Logan Grimnar figure on a epic terminator and I cut the head and arms off (I cut the arms off carefully as needed them for the figure). The head was replaced with a marine scout head, with any gaps covered by a greenstuff beard and hair. The axe arm was made using the terminator shoulder pad and the decapitated scout's arm, with an axe made from 2 of the axes from the Ork sprue. The other arm was just the terminator's arm repositioned, with the storm bolter on the gauntlet cut from the front of the storm bolter that had been discarded from the other arm. I finished it off by adding a green stuff wolf cloak.

Would you have any objections to me trying my hand at a similar piece? I've been trying to think up something new to add to my terminator conversions article on my site and this looks like and interesting idea, though I don't want to risk "Treading on your toes" so to speak.

I have no objections what so ever, actually I'd like to see some of your terminator conversions. One part of the hobby I enjoy is getting inspiration from other peoples models/conversions. I was thinking last night that after I finish my Kharn the betrayer, I might try my hand at doing an Abbadon the despoiler model, so there's another idea for the terminator model. I can understand why GW will make all the new infantry figures for EpicA in metal (Plastic molds cost a small fortune to make), but I think plastic is so much easier to convert. I've been stockpiling loads of plastic sprues before they're out of stock. What conversions have you done?

Thanks Shadow, but as a very minor comment, Epic40K.com is not "my" site as such, its the ownership of the epic community - I just happen to have created it and edit it ;D Silhook - I will let you know what I come up with for Logan. I did Abbadon for Golden Demon 2001. it was 32 individual parts and greenstuff sections, display base, as the only epic scale entry in the 40K single miniature chatagory.... 1 Moron with a metal model late and it was 32 individual parts again all over the cabinet floor.. Oh well....... wish I'd taken photos befor ethe event though

Thanks for the link Cybershadow. Paul, nice work, The Inquistor looks cool, you've really captured action and movement with him. It's a shame that your Abaddon was destroyed, I really would have liked to have seen him, unfortunately while most people in this hobby show respect for other peoples figures, you will get one muppet with a brain capacity of an epic grot, who doesn't give a dam !!If it had of been my figure, the guy who broke your Abaddon would have been on the ground in 32 pieces as well.
